The Pyramids trail
Euseigne
Discover one of the natural treasures of the Val d’Hérens: the fabulous Pyramids of Euseigne. As you head up the valley, you simply can’t miss them – the road passes right through the formations via a tunnel carved into the moraine. Parking is available on both sides to access the trail.
The path takes you back to the Ice Age, when erosion shaped these spectacular formations over thousands of years. Along the way, you’ll be amazed by the slender, stone-capped columns that look as if they came straight out of a fairytale.
As you climb toward the area known as “Plan de la Croix,” a stunning panoramic view of the valley unfolds before you. The loop ends with a dramatic overhead view of the pyramids before returning to your starting point.
