Sport in Evolène

25 / 03 / 2022

Small article on the sports activities to do in the region.

Yoga & Pilates

Yoga and the Evolène region complement each other. Indeed, both are synonymous of calm and plenitude.
It is therefore quite natural that the activity finds its place in the region!
Whether it is in the form of a course in La Gouille or in its Pilates variation in Les Haudères, yoga definitely has its place!

Paintball
Paintball is a must in the region, with a playground of more than 35,000m² spread over different terrains depending on the season.
Come and compete with the help of markers propelling biodegradable paint balls!

Scooters
You also have the possibility to discover the region with downhill scooters.
From April to October (depending on the weather), you can enjoy family outings or increase the sensations by choosing the sport version of this activity, in complete safety and guided by a local.

Tennis
The two courts of the Roc-Vieux tennis club offer the possibility to play tennis in a natural setting. You can enjoy hitting the ball in the middle of the mountains.

Hiking
Hiking is probably the most popular activity in summer in the Evolène region.

The Outdoor Experience application offers you 9 fully marked trails and 2 DéfiTrail trails, in a resolutely alpine setting.
Between authentic hamlets, pastures, forests and passes, you will walk along the paths at the foot of the mythical alpine peaks, such as the Dent-Blanche, the Matterhorn or the Pigne d'Arolla, where you will certainly be able to meet the famous Hérens cow!
The Val d'Hérens also has a total of 500 km of marked trails between authentic mountain hamlets, pastures, forests and passes.

Paragliding
Another high-flying activity, paragliding allows you to observe the wonders of nature and the wide open spaces of the region.

Mountain Biking
Mountain biking is also very popular in the valley with more than 330 km of trails accessible by mountain bike and E-bike.
Whether it's the demanding Grand Raid or the calmer Rocs, you'll find something to satisfy you on the region's preserved trails.

In short, all types of sportsmen and women are welcome!
