Roc Vieux

From Les Haudères, take the path on the left at Pralovin directly after the bridge. From there, you will take a small mountain road slightly uphill in the Vallon d'Arolla until you reach the Mayens de Veisivi (1860m), where you will probably be able to admire the mythical cows of the Hérens breed. From this point, you take a path that climbs first through the forest, then through sheep pens to reach the Roc Vieux (2445m). At the top, the view of the commune of Evolène and its various villages is simply breathtaking. The hike lasts about 2 hours and 50 minutes and the return journey is made on the same path.

You can also reach the Roc Vieux from La Gouille. To do so, you will follow a mountain road downhill directly after the hamlet to join the path coming from Les Haudères. The duration of the hike from La Gouille is 2h15.
