Midsummer Fest

Every 15 August, for many generations, the inhabitants of the village have celebrated Midsummer by putting on the clothes of their ancestors and repeating their gestures in order to share with you this love of tradition.

After the celebration, the Hérensard guides will offer a demonstration of helicopter rescue on the cliffs above the village. The Blue Lake Alpine Horn group will amaze you during this parade.

At 11.45 a.m., meet the musicians of the Echo de la Dent-Blanche who will thrill you during their concert on the Place of the Church.

The brass band and folklore groups will liven up the central street throughout the day.

You will also be able to admire the splendid old cars that will drive along the main street.

At 2.30 p.m., there will be a long traditional procession showing the life of the past and demonstrating traditional skills and farm animals.

The invited groups will then bring the heart of this village, one of the most beautiful in Switzerland, to life throughout the day with their songs, music and dances.

Shuttle buses are organised from 11:30 to 14:30 and from 16:30 to 18:30 between the village of Les Haudères and Evolène.
