In a valley where family and faith are revealed as common values, birth, social commitment and death are part of a set of rules by which the Church, the extended family and the sharing of bread mark the stages of the trilogy of life. Within a subsistence economy, the common table strengthens the bonds. Baptisms, weddings and funerals take place according to rituals deeply rooted in the collective memory.
Respect for the community code is evident in the steps taken, in the invitations, in the clothing, in the religious rite and in the sharing of the meal.
Feast days and solemn processions bring the population together, spread joy and brighten up the colours of the costume and the gonfanons in a profound unity.
The annual exhibition sheds light on the socialisation and solidarity of a mountain community. The individual path is integrated into the collective life through rituals and the modes of sociability at work in our region.
