SKI AREA

At an altitude of 2000m, surrounded by high mountains, lies the resort of Arolla.

Situated at the heart of the Haute-Route or Glacier Patrol routes, Arolla is the starting point for many ski touring itineraries that allow you to escape to the high mountains and refine your training for the big races.
Its human-sized ski area (a member of the Espace Dent Blanche d'Evolène-Région and the MagicPass) offers varied slopes. The facilities, which climb to almost 3000m, allow you to take advantage of the marked runs or to save precious time during your freeride and ski touring outings.

Situated 14 km from Evolène, the last village of the Val d'Hérens, Arolla is a small family resort.

In the heart of the mountains, the ski area is situated between 2000 and 3000 m altitude and its orientation ensures optimal snow cover throughout the season.

Its long and varied slopes are ideal for all snow sports enthusiasts. The possibilities for freeride and freerando are unlimited!

SKI TOURING & FREERIDE :

The Arolla ski area also offers two signposted routes dedicated to ski-mountaineering with the possibility of timing oneself using the application Alpes Trail Val d'Hérens.

Situated on the route of the Patrouille des Glaciers and the Patrouille des aiguilles rouges Arolla is the Valais ski mountaineering capital.
